Our Mission, Values and Vision
Mission
The Church of All Nations, believing in God’s love for all people, seeks:
- To witness to the Christian hope in God’s transforming power
- To offer worship that is participatory, relevant and welcoming
- To serve all its neighbours with justice and compassion
… so it may be a church for all of Carlton, and a public prophetic voice of the Church in the area.
Values
The values by which the Church of All Nations lives are justice, openness and hospitality, as we seek to faithfully follow in the way of Jesus.
Vision
To be a vibrant, growing, learning congregation of the Uniting Church in Australia, living by its values and building relationships with those around us to discover how God transforms lives.
Strategic priorities, 2022-24
To live out this statement of our Mission, Values and Vision, and to make best use of our time, energy, and financial resources, we will focus on six strategic priority areas. There is no ranking among the priority areas. Within each area we will pursue the goals as best we are able, either in turn or in parallel with each other depending on what’s feasible and appropriate.
Priority areas:
- nurturing the faith of can members
- engaging worship
- ministry with families & children
- develop closer links between congregation & can community services
- develop pastoral care systems for congregation
- reconciliation and developing just relationships with first nations people
